PassSafe User Agreement
Last updated: April 3, 2026
1. General Provisions
1.1. This Agreement governs the relationship between you (hereinafter referred to as the “User”) and the developer of the PassSafe app (hereinafter referred to as “We,” “App”) regarding the use of the PassSafe mobile app (password manager).
1.2. By installing, copying, or using the App, you confirm that you have fully read the terms of this Agreement and accept them without reservation. If you do not agree with any provision, you are not authorized to use the App.
1.3. The App is provided “as is” without any express or implied warranties, except for those that cannot be excluded by law.

2. Application Features and Limitations
2.1. PassSafe allows you to store and manage passwords, usernames, notes, and other confidential information (hereinafter referred to as “Data”) locally.
2.2. All Data is stored exclusively on your device (or in your personal cloud if synchronization is enabled). We do not have access to it, do not transfer it to third parties, and cannot recover it.
2.3. Data encryption occurs on your device using the AES-256 algorithm. The encryption key is your Master Password, which is never transmitted to us and is not stored in the App.
2.4. We are not liable for:
the loss or compromise of your Data resulting from the loss of your Master Password, theft of your device, malware infection, or other actions beyond our control;
the inability to restore access to your Data if you forget your Master Password;
delays or errors caused by the operation of your internet service provider, cloud service (iCloud, etc.), or operating system.

3. License to Use
3.1. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable (upon breach of terms) license to use the Application on any device under your control, for personal or commercial purposes (for company employees—only within the scope of your company’s activities).

3.2. The following is prohibited:
decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to extract the Application’s source code;
using the Application to store data that violates the law (child pornography, terrorist propaganda, stolen data, etc.);
selling, renting, or sublicensing the Application;
circumvent technical restrictions (e.g., in the free version).

4. User Responsibility
4.1. You are solely responsible for the security of your Master Password, as well as for all actions performed using your device or cloud service account where the encrypted storage is synchronized.
4.2. You agree not to use the App to store passwords for other people’s accounts without their permission.
4.3. If you lose your device, you must remotely delete the App (via iCloud or device management services) and change any critical passwords stored in PassSafe.

5. Intellectual Property
5.1. All rights to the design, icons, source code, and the name “PassSafe” belong to the developer. You do not acquire any rights to the trademark or corporate identity.
5.2. Feedback and suggestions for improvement that you send to us may be used by us without restriction and without compensation.
6. Paid Features and Subscriptions
6.1. The app may be distributed under a “freemium” model (basic features are free, advanced features are paid). Specific payment terms and subscription durations are indicated on the purchase screen in the App Store.
6.2. Payments are processed by Apple Inc. We do not collect or store your credit card information.

6.3. Subscriptions are automatically renewed unless you turn off auto-renewal in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are governed by Apple’s policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
7.1. We do not guarantee that the App will operate without errors or interruptions, or that it will be compatible with all versions of iOS and device models.
7.2. The developer’s maximum aggregate liability to you on any grounds shall not exceed the amount you have paid for using the App over the past 12 months, or $10 (if you have not paid).
7.3. We are not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, data loss, damage to business reputation), even if we were warned of the possibility of such damages.

8. Term and Termination
8.1. This Agreement is effective from the moment you first use the App.
8.2. You may terminate this Agreement by deleting the App from all your devices and destroying all copies.
8.3. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App without prior notice if you have violated the terms of this Agreement (for example, by attempting to hack the App).
9. Governing Law
9.1. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified on the developer’s page in the App Store (unless otherwise specified, the laws of the country where the developer is registered). For users in the EU, additional rights apply in accordance with local regulations.
9.2. All disputes shall be resolved through negotiation; if this is not possible, they shall be resolved in court at the developer’s place of business.

10. Changes to the Agreement
10.1. We may modify the terms of this Agreement with 14 days’ notice via an App update or by publishing a new version on our website.
10.2. If you do not agree with the changes, you must uninstall the App. Continued use after notification constitutes your acceptance of the new version.
