What is a DUNS number?
D-U-N-S number is a special company identifier in the D&B information base, by which your company can be found in the international directory. When adding your company to the directory, agency employees will check your company (checking that the company really exists, the period of existence, the presence of the company at the stated office address, the number of employees, and so on).
Let's just say that registering your company in the D&B catalog is the first step towards receiving confirmation of the reliability of your company from a reputable international organization.

1. Visit http://developer.apple.com/enroll/duns-lookup/ and log in with your Apple ID account.
2. Choose your region and fill in your business' details. Then, click on Continue.

3. If your organization already has a D-U-N-S number, you can proceed to confirm the information for it to be sent to your e-mail.
If you don't have a D-U-N-S number, you will need to request one. To do so, check the box, allowing Apple to send the information to D-U-N-S, and click on Submit.
After requesting a D-U-N-S Number, allow up to 5 business days to receive your number from D&B.
