Price follows the rules about who may see and change what. One kind of user is cheap. Once you have administrators, staff, customers and a partner allowed to see only their own slice, the permission checks and the reporting behind them grow faster than anyone expects. That drives the cost far more than the length of the feature list.

A first usable version is normally a couple of months, and a fuller one carrying permissions and reporting runs longer than that. What pushes the date out is almost always the same thing: how fast you and whoever builds the apps settle exactly what the server sends back. We write that down first, in the OpenAPI format, so nobody is guessing.

Yes. Before committing we want to see the database, usually Postgres, and how its structure has been changed over time: is there a recorded migration for each change, or has someone been editing live tables by hand? A tidy history and a written interface make this straightforward. Neither of those, plus passwords sitting in the code, usually means a rebuild.

Server-side work is regular work for us, in Node.js and in Python, and the part that carries between jobs is rarely the language. It is having changed the shape of live data while apps already installed on people's phones kept working. Named references belong in a conversation where you can check them properly, so ask us for them.

Everything transfers. The code sits in a repository you own, the database comes with the full record of how its structure changed, and your app developers get the interface documentation they build against. Hosting accounts, domains and credentials are opened in your name where we can, or moved across at the end. Nothing needed to run it stays here.

Because we treat the agreement between the server and the apps calling it as the real deliverable, not an afterthought. It gets written down, versioned, and old versions keep answering while people update, so a change on our side does not break a phone nobody has updated in months.
